Lauantaina 6.8.2016 viettiin vihdoin häitämme <3 Lähes kahden vuoden suunnittelu ja odotus huipentui ihanaan lauantaihin ja pakko sanoa, että kaikki meni täydellisesti. Meillä oli maailman paras päivä.
Aamuni alkoi ihanasti yhteisellä aamiaisella kaasojen kanssa. Valmistimme aamupalaherkut yhdessä äitini kanssa. Onneksi äiti yöpyi meillä kanssani, sillä yksin olisin varmasti saanut jonkun hepulikohtauksen jännityksen takia. Samuli vietti yönsä bestmanin luona.
Häälookkini luomisesta vastasivat mielettömät ammattilaiset. Olimme sopineet meikkauksen tänne meille kotiin ja ihana Pinksu saapuikin heti aamusta ehostamaan minua ja kaasojani. Oli myös todella kätevää, että kampaukset tehtiin tässä lähikampaamossamme, joten minun eikä kaasojeni tarvinnut reissata ympäriinsä. Mekkoni istui kuin hansikas, vaikka jossain vaiheessa jännitikin onko se minulle sopiva. Puku oli mielettömän kaunis ja pitkä, kaksitasoinen huntu kruunasi kokonaisuuden. Kun kaikki oli valmiina suuntasimme ottamaa valokuvia, jotka startattiin first look -otoksilla ihan kotimme vieressä Arabianrannassa. Kuvaajana meillä toimi Jaakko Kahilaniemi ja häntä ei voi kuin kehua, äärimmäisen mukava mies ja aivan mielettömiä kuvia!
Kohtasin Samulin hääpäivänä ensimmäistä kertaa siis kuvauksissa ja tunteelliseksihan se meni, itku ei meinannut loppua millään. Toisaalta oli myös hienoa, että heti kun näimme toisemme jännitys kaikkosi. Kaikki tuntui heti paljon yksinkertaisemmalta ja rennommalta. Potrettien ottamisen jälkeen suuntasimme porukalla kohti Kulosaaren kirkkoa.
Kirkolla ehdottomasti unohtumattomin hetki oli se, kun ovet aukenivat ja näin kaikki vieraat kirkossa seisomassa ja sulhaseni alttarilla. Minut valtasi ihana onnentunne, en voinut kuin hymyillä. Vihkiminen oli muutenkin upea, vaikka pappi sanoikin pari kertaa nimeni väärin. 🙂 Siinä hetkessä mikään ei oikeasti haitannut, kaikki oli niin kaunista! Vihkimisen kruunasi Samulin siskon Marleenan viululla esittämä Moon River -klassikko, jonka hän soitti kitaran säestyksellä. Kappale on yksi suosikeistani, joten se oli ehdottomasti yksi päiväni kohokohdista (”tahdon”-sanan sanomisen lisäksi, tietenkin)! Kirkosta poistuimme Guns N’ Rosesin Sweet Child O´Minen -soidessa.
Hääautona meillä oli käytössä todella upea autoharvinaisuus, Nash Big Six Convertible vuosimallia 1933. Näitä autoja on maailmassa olemassa enää tämä yksi kappale! Auton omistaja toimi myös kuljettajana ja hänellä oli aivan mieletön, ajan henkeen sopiva kuljettajan asu. Kaarasta saamme kiittää Samulin mahtavaa työkaveria ja hänen isäänsä.
Juhlapaikkana meillä toimi tosiaan Kulosaaren Casinon Sun Marine -puoli. Tila on aivan mieletön, seinät ovat pelkkää lasia, maisemana upea avomeri ja käytössä on myös tilaan kuuluva puutarha. Kaasot, bestmanit ja hovimestari olivat hoitaneet koristelut paikalle ja tila näytti uskomattomalta. Kun astelimme Samulin kanssa sisään valmiiksi koristeltuun tilaan, olimme pakahtua onnesta, miten upealta kaikki oikein näyttikään! Häiden teemana ja punaisena lankana meillä oli musiikki ja esitysten lisäksi tämä näkyi muun muassa siten, että meillä ei ollut oikeastaan pöytänumeroita vaan jokainen pöytä oli teemoitettu eri artistien/yhtyeiden mukaan. Koristeena jokaisessa pöydässä oli siis kyseisen artistin vinyylilevy, joka matchasi pöytäkartassa olevaan levyyn. Näin heti alkuun vieraille tuli pientä puuhaa, kun he etsivät oman pöytänsä. Levyjen lisäksi pöydässä oli myös hääbingolaput, kynttilöitä, sekä hyvin yksinkertaiset kukkaset.
Halusimme pitää koristelut yksinkertaisina. Lisäksi olimme teettäneet jokaiseen pöytään hääkutsujemme teemaan sopivat pöytäkartiot, joissa itseasiassa oli myös pöytänumerot. Numerointiin olimme liittäneet myös tarinat, jotka kertoivat parisuhteestamme ja meistä ihmisinä. Tämä oli mielestäni hauska yksityiskohta ja ehkä nämä tarinat toimivat myös jonkin sortin ”jäänrikkojina” pöydissä. Pöytäkoristeiden lisäksi meillä oli KISS-teemainen (koska KISS on Samulin yksi lempiyhtyeistä) photobooth -vieraskirja, joka oli menestys! On aivan ihanaa katsella vieraiden ottamia Polaroid-kuvia ja lukea heidän jättämiään tervehdyksiä. Meillä oli myös lahjapöytä, jossa koristeena oli upea, vintage-matkalaukku sekä karttapallo.
Ruoka oli mielettömän hyvää ja se keräsi paljon kehuja! Pidimme menun freesinä, joten alkupaloissa oli tarjolla runsaasti kasviksia ja erilaisia salaatteja. Pääruokana meillä oli härkää, sekä ei-lihaa syöville lohta. Halusimme raikkaan makuisen hääkakun, joten valitsimme raparperimarenkikakun kruunaamaan upean illallisen. Ruokailun aikana kuulimme koskettavia puheita rakkaimmiltamme. Oli aivan mieletöntä ja todella liikuttavaa kuulla, kuinka paljon lähimmäisemme ja ystävät olivat panostaneet puheisiin. Välillä saimme kyynelehtiä liikutuksesta ja välillä taas nauraa kippurassa hauskoille muistoille. Minusta oli myös hyvä, että puheet olivat ruokailun lomassa joten ohjelma eteni jouhevasti, ilman turhia tai puuduttavia taukoja.
Ilta eteni itseasiassa niin vauhdilla, että emme Samulin kanssa meinanneet pysyä perässä. Muutama ohjelmanumero jouduttiin skippamaan, sillä olimme aikataulusta myöhässä jossain vaiheessa iltaa puolisen tuntia. Tämä ei kuitenkaan haitannut, sillä ohjelmaa oli muuten niin runsaasti. Saimme nauttia ystäviemme musiikkiesityksistä sekä tietenkin aivan mielettömästä bilebändistä, Mr. Sushista, joka nosti tunnelman kattoon! Bändi veti meidän häätanssimme, joka oli klassisesti Elviksen Can’t Help Falling In Love. Toki huikea bändi esitti myös pari settiä. Yhtyeen tauon aikana meillä oli tarjolla yöruaksi hot dogeja. Oli ilo nähdä, että jengi jaksoi bailata tanssilattialla otsa hiessä ja kuinka suurin osa vieraista oli ihan bileiden loppuun asti. Aika meni tosiaan supernopeasti ja hieman tuntui siltä, kuin bileet olisivat loppuneet kesken. Bändin tahdissa olisi voinut bailata ihan aamuun saakka. Lähdimme kuitenkin niin hyvissä ajoin, että ehdimme vielä Hotelli Tornin baariin drinkeille. Vietimme kyseisessä hotellissa myös hääyömme ja pakko kyllä todeta, että sviitti, kylpyammeineen ja upeine aamupaloineen oli kyllä ihana lisä hääjuhlintaan.
Kaiken kaikkiaan juhlat olivat aivan mielettömät, oikea unelmien päivä. Oli ihana nähdä paikalla meille rakkaimmat ihmiset ja nauttia heidän kanssaan. Olen todella liikuttunut siitä, miten ihania lähimmäisiä ja ystäviä meillä on elämässämme. Juhlien onnistumiseen vaikuttivat todella olennaisesti tietenkin kaasot ja bestmanit, jotka hoitivat homman todella upeasti. Kaikki meni aivan nappiin ja jokainen teki omalla persoonallaan ja panostuksellaan juhlasta ainutlaatuisen ja onnistuneen.
Juhlat olivat niin onnistuneet, että nyt tätä avioparia vaivaa hieman pieni häiden jälkeinen masennus, joka on muuten kuulemma ihan yleistä. Suunnittelimme päivää kuitenkin kaksi vuotta ja sitten se vilahti ohi nopeasti. Upeat kuvat ja kauniit muistot kuitenkin jäävät ja on pakko todeta, että on toisaalta ihan mukava helpotus, että kaikki suunnittelu saa nyt hetkeksi jäädä. Suuntaamme huomenna häämatkallemme Kreikkaan, joten onneksi ihan täysin arkeen ei vielä tarvitse palata vaan voimme hengailla tässä ihanassa rakkauskuplassamme vielä hetken.
